Point-of-care diagnosis of cervical cancer: potential protein biomarkersin cervicovaginal fluid
نویسندگان
چکیده
Cervical cancer (CxCa) is preventable and treatable via vaccination screening. Cervicovaginal fluid (CVF) represents the physiological components of female genital tract. These are suitable to be utilized for clinical purposes, therefore, making CVF a material disease screening approaches. Due high false-negative result rates low attendance current expensive routine CxCa methods, it has become more important develop point-of-care (POC) method that every single woman could reach worldwide. For this purpose, various self-usage apparatus have been developed human papilloma virus (HPV) infection. Furthermore, due specificity HPV tests clearance rate infections, many patients undergo overtreatment. Since proteins play an role in cellular process carcinogenesis, appropriate use simple test detection carcinogenesis. In article, POC studies discovery protein biomarkers will overviewed consider development can used rapid conceivable CxCa.

Identification of Protein Biomarkers for Cervical Cancer Using Human Cervicovaginal Fluid
OBJECTIVES Cervicovaginal fluid (CVF) can be considered as a potential source of biomarkers for diseases of the lower female reproductive tract. The fluid can easily be collected, thereby offering new opportunities such as the development of self tests. Our objective was to identify a CVF protein biomarker for cervical cancer or its precancerous state. METHODS A differential proteomics study ...
متن کاملCervical Funneling: Potential Pitfall of Point-of-Care Pelvic Ultrasound
Though point-of-care ultrasound applications continue to expand, there are findings that are not within the scope of emergency ultrasound. It is important for emergency physicians to be aware of incidental findings that can be identified on comprehensive ultrasounds performed by other imaging departments in order to fully understand the limitations of bedside ultrasound. In this case, a gravid ...

BACKGROUND Macaques are an excellent model for many human diseases, including reproductive diseases such as endometriosis. A long-recognized need for early biomarkers of endometriosis has not yet resulted in consensus. While biomarker studies have examined many bodily fluids and targets, cervicovaginal secretions have been relatively under-investigated. Extracellular vesicles (EVs, including ex...
متن کاملPoint-of-care test for cervical cancer in LMICs
Cervical cancer screening using Papanicolaou's smear test has been highly effective in reducing death from this disease. However, this test is unaffordable in low- and middle-income countries, and its complexity has limited wide-scale uptake. Alternative tests, such as visual inspection with acetic acid or Lugol's iodine and human papillomavirus DNA, are sub-optimal in terms of specificity and ...
